Definitely one of the (few) highlights of the election. I truly hope his talents are not wasted!
There are many highlights to this election!- Wilson Tuckey lost his seat- Fielding has (probably) lost his Senate seat- The Greens will have the balance of power in the Senate- The Greens will possibly have the balance of power in the Reps.If the ALP can hold Hasluck and govern with the support of Bandt and Wilkie its pretty much my fantasy outcome. What's not to like?Meanwhile, today Adam Carr shows his true colours:The fear of course is that a minority government will be formed with the Greens (and Green leaning pollies in Tasmania). These guys aren’t exactly market friendly with anti-free market statements like “the free market economy, by externalising the environmental and social costs of greenhouse gas emissions is creating the greatest market failure of all time, namely climate change.”A perfectly rational statement that everyone from Garnaut to Stern agrees with, but Carr portrays its at anti-market fundamentalism. For God's sake Pete, stop quoting this guy.
Yes, Peter, Andrew Leigh has ideas, originality and creativity. Now watch as Karl Bitar and Mark Arbib kick him in the head over and over until he loses all of that. Truly, today's ALP is the Orwellian boot stamping repeatedly on a human face. And I see that the Greens have installed a Stalinist in the Senate. God help Australia
