I can't believe how stupid the ABC has been about this. First, they are going to alienate the 50% of households who can't receive a HD broadcast (and hence can't receive ABC News 24). Second, they are going to annoy a good fraction of the remainder who now won't be able to watch their favourite shows in HD on ABC1! They should have spent the money getting parliament off the NewsRadio frequency.
