Update: "WorkChoices is dead"

Brendan Nelson after thisafternoon's Opposition front bench meeting:

"We've listened to the Australian people, we respect the decisions they have made, and WorkChoices is dead."

Not really. After reading Labor's arrangement of around 3 bills to 'suitably' modify it. The first apparently repealing the Fairness test. This implements WorkChoices as intended.

Later, they intend to apply their own 'no disadvantage test' but that's not until later.

Then after that, all the other modifications.

I'm highly suspicious.

The first bill also bans new AWAs. So what was the fairness going to apply to?
