The blue lines are what was predicted in the first intergenerational report five years ago. On unchanged settings over 40 years the budget would go heavily into deficit.
The brown-orange lines are how things look now. Not as bad.

A treasurer who was not lazy and had actually read and understood material on this subject wouls have cut the contributions tax but NEVER the benefits tax
